- Telehealth Services
- For your convenience, Telehealth services are available for you to access. Which means you can access a psychology session online. Please access these services if they are appropriate for you. To access Telehealth, you will need a computer or mobile phone that has adequate internet access.

- Mellissa offers therapeutic treatment for late adolescents to adults that is client-centred and has an emotion focused perspective. She provides assistance and support to address a range of issues such as;
- • Depression, anxiety and mood disorders
- • Substance use and addictions
- • Grief and loss
- • Stress - situational, personal or work related
- • Eating disorders
- • Self-esteem issues
- • Interpersonal and relationship challenges
- • Complex mental health issues
- • Personal development
- • Health problems
- • Trauma - including any form of assault, domestic violence, sexual abuse, forced adoption, attachment and/or relational trauma (trauma that has occured within close relationships)
- Mellissa has extensive experience in working with addictions such as substance use, problematic behaviours and co-existing mental health conditions or dual diagnosis. Mellissa understands that substance use and addiction problems can be very difficult for the individual experiencing the problem, as with caring partner’s and family members. Services are available for parents, carers or partners affected by substance use, addictions, and problematic behaviours. Mellissa takes a caring and non-judgemental approach to help with these issues with complete discretion and confidentiality.
- In addition, Mellissa has an interest in assisting those who have been affected by any type of attachment and/or relational trauma, including forced Adption Policies and Practices (https://www.dss.gov.au/our-responsibilities/families-and-children/programs-services/forced-adoption-practices). Mellissa provides extensive and caring support to individual's who have been profoundly impacted by these policies and practices.
- Mellissa also enjoys assisting those who seek to develop a deeper understanding of themselves through personal and self development; deepening the insight into the self, while enhancing emotional awareness and well-being.
- Mellissa has trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings such as; alcohol and other drug’s sector, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, private, community based and public hospital settings.
- As a Clinical Psychologist Mellissa uses a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions in clinical practice and includes; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), and Schema Focused Therapy (SFT). Mellissa also likes to work from a holistic framework and her work is trauma informed where needed.
