It is recommended that you consult with your doctor who may refer you to a suitable psychologist, however, you can also refer yourself by making an appointment, and no referral is required. An initial session with Mellissa includes a comprehensive clinical intake, gathering information and getting to know you in a supportive and caring environment. Then, Mellissa will work with you to establish individualised treatment goals for therapy. Mellissa will be helping you to improve on thoughts, feelings and behaviours and work through unresolved emotional pain or distress. Following sessions will involve treatment and therapy based on the goals you see as important. Mellissa will monitor your progress ongoing.
